The Yamanashi Prefecture bus trip was a wonderful time and I really enjoyed being able to see rural areas outside of Tokyo. I'd love to go back and visit the area again sometime.
What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?
Most productive was working with Japanese language in classroom setting. Also, speaking with Japanese college students was a great opportunity to meet people and practice conversation skills, and I wish we could have spent more time with them.
What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?
Small group sessions were enjoyable and conducive to learning.
Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?
Providing supplementary grammar notes to review on our own time might be helpful.
Anything you especially liked in the living arrangements? Any problems you experienced?
No problems to report. Very adequate accommodations.
Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?
Having class be only in Japanese may seem intimidating but it's really good for your language acquisition. Keep studying!
