To be admitted to a Japanese university as a full-time student, what level of Japanese do I need?

The prestigious Tokyo University requires that its students from KCP have passed KCP Japanese language level 6. Other universities may accept lower levels of proficiency.  If you are interested in a specific university, please inquire at that university.
